Longevity Forecast Methodology
The Longevity Forecast Engine bridges classical Vedic mathematics with modern machine learning survival models. Instead of giving arbitrary life forecasts, this tool evaluates the core principles of Jaimini Sutras and Parashari systems, mapping them to survival probability curves derived from historical longevity databases.
By feeding exact geographic birth coordinates and birth times into high-precision astronomical algorithms (Swiss Ephemeris), the engine generates divisional charts, calculates active planetary Dasas, and assesses vital life energy indicators.
The engine evaluates three primary pairs of indicators to place the native in a baseline longevity category:
- Lagna Lord and the 8th Lord: Evaluates the strengths of the lord of self (Lagna) and the lord of longevity/death (8th house).
- Lagna and the Moon: Compares the physical coordinates of the self and the mental/vital life force represented by the Moon.
- Lagna and the Hora Lagna: Integrates Hora Lagna (financial and vital energy pivot) to check structural support.
Based on these combinations, the native is categorized into:
- Alpayu (Short Life): 0 to 32 Years
- Madhyayu (Middle Life): 32 to 64 Years
- Dirghayu (Long Life): 64 to 96+ Years
The baseline category is not fixed. The engine applies mathematical adjustments based on planetary configurations:
- Kakshya Vriddhi (Longevity Increase): Triggered when benefics occupy the Lagna, the 8th house, or aspect active signs. Jupiter or Venus occupying crucial quadrants increases the probability distribution.
- Kakshya Hrasa (Longevity Decrease): Occurs when malefics (Mars, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu) occupy the 8th house or surround the Lagna lord.
Traditional longevity ranges are discrete step-functions. The longevity forecast engine applies a continuous Survival Probability Distribution using a Weibull hazard curve. The inputs (Lagna strengths, active Shoola and Varnada Dasa points, Kakshya modifiers) are passed into a regression model to estimate the native's risk parameters over time.
This results in the Longevity Timeline Graph, which maps survival probability year-by-year from age 1 to 100, showing periods of planetary transition when vital energies shift.
* Base Longevity Category: Indicates the primary classical window calculated from your natal chart. * Planetary Strengths (Shadbala & Bhavabala): High values indicate stronger resistance to negative transits. * Longevity Curve: Shows the probability of passing through critical planetary periods. Declines in the graph correspond to Dasa transitions of Maraka (death-inflicting) signs.
