Fertility & Conception Calculation Methodology

Overview of the Fertility Tool

The Fertility & Conception Tool (Garbhadhana) calculates auspicious windows for conception by combining the classical Vedic sciences of Garbhadhana Sanskara with modern bio-rhythmic phase alignment.

Traditional systems focus on Nakshatras, Tithis (lunar days), and planetary transits over the mother's 5th house. By overlaying these calculations with lunar-phase cycles, the tool isolates days of optimal physiological and astrological alignment.

The Lunar Phase Angle (Vedic Jonas Method)

A woman’s secondary ovulation cycle is highly responsive to the return of the exact longitudinal distance between the Sun and the Moon at her birth. This is known classically as the *Tithi Return*.

If a female native was born when the Moon was exactly $144^\circ$ ahead of the Sun, her bio-rhythms peak every time the transiting Moon reaches exactly $144^\circ$ from the transiting Sun. The Fertility engine tracks these precise astronomical moments using Swiss Ephemeris data, marking them as Peak Lunar Return Days.

Vedic Auspicious Filters (Panchanga & Astakavarga)

Once the lunar return dates are isolated, the planner runs them through several classical Vedic filters to evaluate quality:

How to Read the Results Calendar

* Peak Conception (Lunar Return): Days when the Sun-Moon longitudinal offset matches your birth coordinates. These are physiologically optimal. * Auspicious Transit Days: Days when planetary alignments support the 5th house (offering stable astrological coordinates). * Warning Indicators: Days when transits of Rahu/Ketu or severe eclipse paths overlap with vital birth signs. Conception is discouraged during these windows.
